Every trail has a start and an end....life also has a start and an end...what you do along the way is the key. Notice the things right in front of you and slow down long enough to enjoy the journey. We spin the wheel everyday and one day it will come up empty so fill each day with enough love to last a lifetime.http://skyviewgallery.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Field-of-Glory/G0000QEhj9k26Dkc/I0000KXI_E0jYO6k

What's Important To You?
http://skyviewgallery.photoshelter.com/gallery-slideshow/G0000PH5SYHnlmdk/?start=Each Day You Have A New Chance.
We have a chance each day to take action in some area of our life. Making a decision to do what is important first will make a difference in the outcome. How do you decide what is important? What part does fear play and what part does courage play? Face it, step through the wall, and be fearless.....

Go Fly A Kite

Sometimes the best thing you can do is go fly a kite. Your focus is on getting the kite off the ground and keeping it in the air. Testing the wind is the first thing...is the wind strong enough and witch way is it blowing...what's in the air, are there things that might catch the kite and block the flight path... If everything looks good....run into the wind and let it fly....smile and enjoy life and remember to run into the wind.....

Remembering Solomon Burke

A few years ago I was at Bumbershoot in Seattle and as I strolled around the grounds that night I could here this soulful sound that pulled me into the world of Solomon Burke. I knew the sound from my early days and couldn't remember the name that went with the beat. But as soon as I turned the corner and saw brother Burke making his entrance on stage I knew who it was... The Big Man was rollin...
Jerry Wexler, a co-founder of Atlantic Records, described Solomon Burke as "wily, highly intelligent, a salesman of epic proportions". Burke, who has died aged 70, was indeed vast, and was confined to a wheelchair in his later years after his weight rose to an alarming 30 stone. But he was massively endowed with talent, too, and recordings such as Cry to Me and Everybody Needs Somebody to Love caused some (Wexler included) to consider him soul's greatest singer.

Night and Day In L.A.

Touring the Los Angeles area is truly a delight for the eyes. Starting at Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier we move inland to the new Santa Monica Place Mall and the Third Street Promenade, the Sunset night life at the Key Club and The Griffith Park Observatory follow. Hollywood and Los Feliz take us to Playa Del Rey and Ladera Park on the way to the California Science Center, Exposition Rose Garden and the Coliseum home of two Olympic Games. Little Tokyo and the Arts District is followed by a great view of the L.A. basin from the Baldwin Hills Overlook and a look at the night life in Downtown with the opening night of Dreamgirls. Riding the Metro System is a great way to move around the city and enjoy the sights. Olvera Street and the Union Station are the center of old L.A. and the Staples Center and L.A. Live are the center of new L.A. The Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Music Center Complex anchor the cultural heart beat of the city. We end our tour at the Marina Del Rey and the Santa Monica Mountain trails at Temescal Canyon.
